Tuesday With Morrie....

i finished another storybook "Tuesday With Morrie" by Mitch Albom within 3 days...
i read it during my journey to Ipoh....
it was a easy reading book...

i like life experiences story...
simple but yet, motivational and thought-provoking...
their experiences have guided us and motivated us to be a better person...
i didn't mean that it can totally change a person but somehow, it will be a useful guidance in our lifes...

this story was about a professor named Morrie who was diagnosed ALS ( Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis = neurodegenerative disease )
his favourite student, Mitch learnt about it after 16 years upon graduation...
Mitch started to visit him every Tuesday..
during his visit, they would talk about family, regrets, death and many more...
i came across with this statement which i thought it was meaningful...

"Do the kinds of things that come from the heart. When you do, you won't be dissatisfied, you won't be envious, you won't be longing for someone else's thinking. On the contrary, you'll be overwhelmed with what comes back."

and there was another sentence that kind of make sense to me..
here how it sounds, " When u learn how to die, only u will learn how to live."
a simple statement but it make sense...
as a matter of fact, we will die someday...
we are counting down the remaining days we have now...
just that we don't know the exact remaining time we have...
so, since we will die anytime, why don't we appreciate the time we have now with meaningful things???
and this is how we going to live for our remaining days...

anyway, Morrie was so strong and positive on facing his illness...
he said that he was lucky to get this illness...
can u imagine that he said he was lucky??
strong will to lead his remaining life with meaningful things...
that's what we should learn from him...

his case was just like Chew Chor Meng's case...
Chew Chor Meng also diagnosed with such similar illness...
hope he can think positively and bravely face his illness...
may god bless him...
