Friendship...

friend is someone who comes in and out in our life...
some friends may stay side by side with u through our lives..
some friends may just leave a foot mark in some chapters of our lives...
some friends may become our bestfriend who walk along with us during the ups and downs...
and some friends may be hoping for one day that u will start to accept him/her as your bestfriend...

friendship is just like flower planting...
in order to have a beautifully blossomed flower, we need to have a knowledge of planting that typical flower...
because not every flower has the same requirements as others...
for example, we couldn't find Sakura flower in Malaysia because of the geographical factor...
besides, for planting it, we also need to take note of the amount of water, the optimum temperature, the appropriate fertilizer and so on...
too much of water may caused over-hydrated but too little of water will caused the plant to die..
some plants cannot withstand under high temperature and some needs certain fertilizer to grow...

certain people has certain way of dealing and interacting with friends...
some may prefer to show their care and love expressively to the friends they treasured but some may just keeping it in heart, appreciating them from the bottom of the heart...
some may prefer being treated overly good by their friends but some may prefer a normal treatment by their friends...
therefore, certain people has certain way of dealing and interacting with their friends...
be it a bestfriend or just a normal friend, everyone has their own way of interacting...
we just need to have the right way of doing it on the right person...

Singapore Trip - Day 2...

ok.. here's the story of my Singapore trip during the 2nd day..

despite we slept at 3++am, Jac and i got up at 8.30am...

when we wanted to go to the toilet, i realised that CW forgot to lock the door for the whole night...

so blur but Singapore should be a safer place, no worries...

we took our bath and dolled ourselves up for 1 hour and 15min...

since CW was still sleeping sweetly, dreaming of her Kim Hyun Joong, we did the "make-ups" in the toilet...

and there was a few girls in the toilet, looking weirdly at us...

actually, we planned to buy our breakfast from "Cheers" but we were late for the meeting...

luckily, CW gave us a packet of kinder breno chocolate...

oh ya... did i mention that i saw some cute poses by CW while she was sleeping??

yeah.. it was really cute but i didn't take any picture of it because i felt that it was improper to do so...

but believe me, it was really cute... hahahahahaha.... ( i will do the demo during the yum cha session... hehe..)

as we thought we were late, the person who should meet us at the buona vista mrt station was late too...

when we arrived there, there was 2 guys, holding a bag of presents..

we suspected them as some of the jeaniuses( Jeanette's fans )...

then, more and more people gathered around the pathway...

while waiting for the person incharged, Jac and i took a picture of ourselves...

suddenly, i heard someone called mich out of nowhere...

then, i was looking around and saw Fiona, the person incharge...

so, we gathered together and walked to the Essential Brew in Holland Village...

at first, i was a bit shy there since i was so green in this jeanius group...

as time flew, i managed to make new friends there...

the first few friends that i managed to make were...

Fiona was the one who leaded us to the cafe...

Pat and Jas were malaysian jeaniuses...

Pat was from KL and Jas was from Sarawak...

yeah.. u didn't read wrongly...

both of them purposely came all the way down to Singapore for this event...

Karen was the first jeanius that spoke to us, very friendly...

immediately, she asked us for msn and facebook address...

how friendly she is...



there were 2 sofas near the staircase and we thought that Jeanette might be sitting there...

so, we sat at the table in front of the sofas...

however, we were grouped in another table which was at the other side...

both, Jac and I were kind of disappointed because we thought we would miss the chance to have a closer look at her...

oh ya... the sitting was placed according to groups because we would be playing some games during the event...

so, in the group, i made many new friends...

and we were supposed to come out with a group name...

but before that, Eudora(one of the committee) briefed us on the games and the programmes of the event...

she said that the forfeited group would be punished to finish off a cup full of Korean Ginseng which was super bitter one...

so, being the naughty group, we called ourselves as K-Gs ( Korean Ginseng group ) because we wanted to be punished and drink the tonic tea...

hahahahaha....

so, while waiting for Jeanette's arrival, we mingled around with some of the jeaniuses...

around 12.15pm, Kai Ting( one of the committee) received a call from Jeanette's PA, saying that they already arrived and was on the way up...

teng teng teng... here's come...

i was strenching my neck as long as a giraffe in order to see her because i thought she was sitting at the sofa...

BUT SHE WALKED STRAIGHT IN FRONT OF ME AND SAT AT THE TABLE IN FRONT OF ME!!!!

i was so happy!!! having such a nice view of her....

hahaha....

oh ya... while she was walking to the table, she asked around that " I heard there are Malaysian friends here, where are they?"

then, without hesitation, i raised my hand and waved and smiled at her...

and yes, she noticed me and waved and smiled back to me...

so sweet... hahaha.... simply mesmerized by her smile...

besides, i did waved and said hi to her PA too..

MAYBE she still remember me because she was smiling and waving at me too...

hahahaha...

so, she took her sit and the event started with a brief introduction by the committees...

Welcoming speech + briefing time..

1st game : pictionary time....

this game required every member to draw the given item on the paper and let their group members to guess...

the group that answered the most correct items would be the winner...

and Jeanette was the 3rd person to draw in each groups, meaning she played with all of us ( wheepie...)

the the forfeited group would be punished...

Now, the game started...

Jeanette was all focused to guess the answer...

Jeanette : My turn again... oh no... what's that?? hahahaha....



Jeanette : Eudora, what's that??

ok... most of the pictures were Jeanette's because i only snapped when she was drawing...

haha... ok... i'm biased, i admit that...

anyway, Jac and i were in the same group which was the 2nd group...

and i was the 1st to draw...

at first, i was stunned by the 1st item which was the heptagon...

it took me a few seconds to think of what was that because i didn't come across this for too long..

while i was drawing it, i miscounted the sides and i drew an octagon...

but it was so hard to draw a heptagon since it was an odd diagram...

then, i wrote the numbers till no. 7 and circled it..

luckily, one of my group members answered the correct answer...

Jac was the 2nd person to draw and she had the chance to pass the marker pen to Jeanette...

argh... Jac was so "inconsiderate"( i don't know the exact word to describe it... :P) because she should have given me the chance to pass the pen to Jeanette!!!!

never mind.. no point grumbling over a split milk...

then, when my turn again, i was supposed to draw a newspaper..

so i drew 2 rectangular box with NST on it...

then, no response...

so, i wanted to write "The Star" but Jac managed to guess it right...

then, all of them were asking me, "what is NST stand for?"

i was like,"erm... malaysian newspaper, News Straits Times... hehe..."

so, everyone was like, " oh.. ok... in singapore is The Straits Times..."

thank God that Jac was in my group if not, i really have no idea how to draw it!!!

times up... 5 min had gone in a blink of eye...

our group got 14 correct guesses...

so, the next few groups proceeded the game...

i remembered one drawing which was suppose to be a brain...

but as the girl was drawing it, someone shouted loudly that it was " ti zhong hai " and everyone burst into laughter..

during this game, everyone was so excited and sporty...

really had a good laugh and a fun time during the pictionary game...

for your information, our group, K-Gs won the game...

and we got our rewards too...

and of cause, the forfeited group got their punishment by singing witty songs with cute dance...

next, it was time for lunch!!!

super hungry but we still have to behave a bit in front of our idol...

so, we let Jeanette, her PA and manager to take their food first and we queued up for our turns... yummy foods...

after that, we proceeded to the next game, the mystery box..

in this game, 5 "lucky fans" would be selected by Jeanette through picking the names from the box...

the players needed to touch the mystery item in the box and at the mean time, Jeanette would read 10 questions to be answered by the player...

in order to win the game, the player must answer 3 correct questions and guess the item in the mystery box...

those who didn't manage to answer 3 questions would be forfeited...

ok.. was time for gift exchanging....

every member should prepare a gift to be exchange among the Jeaniuses...

Jeanette presented the gift to the recipient according to the number of the gift and the list...

individual photos was taken there...

there was a moment that Eudora made a huge mistake...she called Pat but she was pointing at my direction...

then, i was like, " no no... i'm Michelle... Pat is at the other side..."

Jeanette's PA warned Eudora that if she were to make a mistake again, she would be punished...

since then, she was so careful with the names and she double checked it...

when i went out to receive my gift, Jeanette asked me something...

however, i couldn't hear clearly of what she was asking me...

i could only hear, ".... come together?"

then, i was like, " (confused look) yeah... (smiled at her and accepted the gift and posed for phototaking ) thank you...(walked off)"

it was really embarrassing...

ok.. i know that i was looking at different direction in this photo...

i was looking at her PA's camera and i was so sad about it...

anyway, there would be next time and there was not gap in this photo ( if were to compare with the one taken in Malacca )..

hehe...

after that, group photo taking time!!!

when taking photos, her PA was super funny and cute too...

she was jokingly saying that she was the illegal photographer because there was a photographer for the event...

when we were taking the big group picture, she said to Jeanette, " Nu er, lai... " ( Come, daughter ) and held her hand to bring her aside while we were arranging ourselves for the group photo...

someone said that we seems like taking class photo..

then, her PA asked , " Which high school are u guys from??"

then, spontaneously, all of us answered, " Jeanius High School!!!"..

and everyone burst into laughter...

her PA also said, " oh.. Jeanius High School ya.. then, everyone must score straight As ar... "

it was really funny....

after that, her manager signalled that she has to go already because she has a photoshoot after this...

so, we took some time to give our presents to Jeanette...

i bought her a knocking-stick massager for her...

before she went back, there was a lucky draw slot..

those who were lucky enough would go back with a "The Little Nyonya" poster with her autograph...

too bad i'm not a the lucky one...

hai...however, we really had a magnificent time there...

after she left, we took photos with jeaniuses for remembrance and chatted for a while...

however, i couldn't stay for too long because Jac and i were supposed to catch the bus back to Muar and we don't wish to be stuck in the traffic jam during the peak hour...

so, like what CW has taught us, we took bus no. 95 back to CW's hostel and it was raining at that time...

then, we took our bags and headed off to singapore custom by taxi because we thought of going back with my mum's friend who was waiting at City Square...

however, we were late and he could wait for us anymore...

oh ya... the taxi driver was really good...

he gave us a discount of S$2 because he said he don't wish to be stucked in the traffic jam too...

so he took a longer way but without charging us more...

thank God, we managed to get a early ticket back to Muar with waiting for too long...

and we had our dinner at McDonald...

after, we were already in the bus back to Muar...

honestly, i really had a great time there...

had a great time with CW's and Chew's accompany, the food hunt was super nice...

although it already overed my budget but it was fulfilling one...

no regret and worth the money...and of cause, i had a great time during the event too...

not only because of the presence of Jeanette, but also the time hanged out with Jeaniuses...

although we just met but we blended it well enough...

no gap seems to be appeared between us...

maybe that's the power of Jeanius Family...

i wish there will be more next time in the future( going out with friends and meet Jeanette... hehe...)!!!!

Singapore Trip- Day 1..

6th March 2009 :

i woke up with an anticipating and excited feelings...
anticipating for the trip to our neighbour country, Singapore...
however, my heart was shattered with a shocking news...
Uncle supposed to fetch Jac to JB but i got a "news" that Uncle can't make it and Jac couldn't get a ticket to JB on time...
at that very moment, i was so burning mad...
spoilt my happy and anticipating day...
suddenly, Uncle called me and asked me to go down from my block to have a look..
then, i was so suprised that he was there but wait...
"WHERE IS JAC???"
nobody was in the car..
after a while, i accidentally spotted Jac, Mei Poh and Huey Chong, hiding at the corner...
then only i realised i was fooled by them...
and the culprit was SIAO TI UNCLE!!!
argh.... anyway, they got their punishment which was waiting for me from getting myself prepared to go...
then, we went for our lunch and City Square...
Jac forgot to bring the gifts..
so we bought something from the Action City..
and of couse, i did buy something for Jeanette...
then off we go to the Malaysia custom...
it was so new and nice, really look like an airport...
the whole journey to Singapore was kind of smooth, no traffic jam, no line-ups...
but jac and i did some silly things when we arrived singapore...
we didn't know that we need to alight at Kranji MRT Station, luckily we asked the bus driver...
then, we took the wrong direction of the train which leaded us to Chinese Garden instead of Clementi...
then, we wanted to take the 96 bus, the bus driver told us that we need to go to the interchange which was only just a few meters away...
then we were like " erm.. then how?"
so, the kind-hearted bus driver brought us there without charging us any cents...
however, CW was as blur as ever... she took the wrong bus too...
but we still got to meet her in NUS...
once i got into her room, i really like it..
although it is small, it is fully furnished with good quality furniture..
and their toilet is clean and fully equiped with heaters...
so fortunate...
then, we began our FOOD HUNT!!!
we met Chew at Clementi MRT Station and we went to Bugis...

the first stop => MOS BURGER( 6pm )

One of my favourite.. Chicken Terriyaki Burger..
the roasted chicken was so juicy and aromatic..
the whole piece of chicken is full of the wonderful taste...

i don't really know what it called...

after this, we went to buy.....

Ice-cream Mua Chi...
a must-try..the skin of the mua chi is smooth and soft, the ice-cream mixed well with the mua chi...
Cream puffs...
cold and sweet inside, hot and crispy outside...

we were full after eating so much, so we went to Bugis Village to shop for cheap goods...
BV is full with cheap but yet, nice clothings...
all of us bought something from there...
CW bought her dream dress which is really nice on her...
luckily, Jac encouraged her to give a try on it..
then, i bought a short pants which only costed me $10...
Chew bought a some-sort-of-vest-looking jacket( really have no idea what does it call )...
but Jac bought the most things...
and yeah, i was "forced" to wear something girlish...
it didn't look good on me, though..
so.....

Next stop : The Soup Spoon...(9.30pm)

Mushroom soup with so many types of mushrooms...

Clam Chowder Soup with big clams and big scallops...

Breaded Buttons...
super juicy button mushrooms... wear a napkin before u bite it..

the first few mouth of the soups were really nice...
the wild mushrooms fragrance just dispersed in our mouth...
the clam chowder doesn't taste like clam soup at all...
kind of disappointed with it but still acceptable...
and that breaded buttons were super juicy...
i remembered that when Jac took her first bite, the juicy "sprayed" out on her hands...
after a while, we were super full and we were "sicked" of the creamy soups...
BUT STILL, WE WENT TO.....

Next stop : Geylang at 11pm...
yeah.. we went to Geylang at 11pm...
when we first alighted at Aljuneid MRT, we were shocked to see so many foreigners, selling illegal ciggerates along the pathway...
and some were sitting at the open space, gambling..
there were so many ah peks and of cause, prostitutes...
anyway, we went to have...

Dou Jiang You Tiao...
the dou hua really smooth... a must-try too...

My favourite of all... Beef Char Kuey Tiao...
the beef was juicy and tender... it melts in your mouth...
and the gravy was superb... really MUST TRY!!!

Claypot Frog.... which costs $8 per frog... faint...

ok... after eating so much, we were truly full...
at first, we planned to go Clarke Quay but it was kind of late (12pm )...
so, we went back to NUS...
for your information, Chew and CW didn't stay around the same area...
so, we decided to accompany Chew back to her hall since it was already so late and we were still so full...
along the way....

we went for a NUS campus tour at wee hour...
and the whole journey took us 1 hour plus even we didn't managed to walk the whole campus..
we(Jac.CW & Me) took taxi after sending Chew off because we were simply too tired and we need to walk for another 45 minutes to reach CW's residence...
the taxi driver was really kind too because he wanted to give a discount but we still gave him the full amount, though...
oh ya.. did i mention that CW thought that my smile looked like her idol, the korean guy from SS501??
yeah... she kept on peeping at me... hahahahaha...
then when we reached her room, i asked her to show me her idol...
and she shown me so many of his videos...
and the way she looked at him was so self-indulging, seems like she was the main actress in the drama, smiling away with his appearance...
after that, we took our bath and went into the dreamland at last...

so, this is the Day 1 of the trip...
it was a fun and "super full" trip...
we really had a great time there...
shopping and eating like hungry ghosts together...
simply interesting and exciting trip...
i would like to thank CW and Chew for being such a great hosts...
taking us around to look for nice and wonderful foods...
and special thank to CW for illegally keeping us...
we really had a great time in Singapore...

PS : i just hope that we will have more chance to go for FOOD HUNT and HOLIDAY together in future... but just that, i hope we won't grow fat after that... haha....
