新年快乐!恭喜恭喜!

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!
Moo Moo is here...
i think everyone must be busy with visitings and accepting "ang pow" now...
well, as matter of fact, i'm not really busy with all these except for online-ing and watching TV most of the time...
and of course, i've been eating and eating and eating since i got back for the festive season..
so, let's recap of what i've been doing since CNY eve...

during CNY eve, i was busy preparing the foods for the reunion dinner...
i was "forced" to be the kitchen helper for the day as u guys would know that there was no other "suitable" candidate for the task...
wahahahaha...
BUT!!! there was a but...
but the menu was set by my aunt and my mom( so unfair!!! )...
ok... anyway, my maid was the chef and i was her assistant...
so, we started cooking at 4.30pm because the dinner would start at 7pm...
before the clock stroke 7pm, we already finished it except for the steamed fish...
however, my uncle still haven't come yet...
so, we waited and waited until 7.30pm and at last, we could dig in...

Clockwise : Fa Da Chai ( the vege dish.. chai = vege in mandarin ), Yee Lu Shun Fong ( the fried YEE mee ), Jing Yi Man Tang ( the golden brown chicken ) and 快快乐乐( always full with laughters.. like HE HE HE(hokkien) or HAHAHA (cantonese))

actually, there was another 2 dishes which the "Nian Nian You Yu" soup and the "Chai Por" steamed fish...
just that i forgot to take the picture because we were so hungry and we just gorging in the food...
then, we waited for the countdown moment...
and yes, the fireworks started to light up the sky and the loud firecrackers started to awakening and welcoming Mr. Ox once the needle stroke 12am...
IT'S NEW YEAR, MOOOO~~~!!!

ok, then on the 2nd day of CNY, we went to my aunt's house for dinner...
here's what she prepared...

yummy yummy...
all my favourite food...
the pig's stomach soup!!!! yay!!!
the vineger pig's trotter!!! yay!!!
the ayam masak merah!!! yay!!!

and yesterday, our gang had a steamboat-cum-gathering dinner in VV's house...
a record broken again!!!
with 13 close friends gathered together again, was a memorable get-together and worth celebrating for...
and thanks to VV for sacrificing her house and her time for us...
thank you very much, Vi Vian!!
while we were cleaning up, my Nya Nya Chua called me from Bristol...
everyone wished and talked to her through the phone...
it was really thoughtful of her for making the call back..
really happy to hear from her...
Chua, i miss u a lot!!!

so, here's some of the behind the scenes i took last night..

Putting in the food...

More food in it...

And..... Ta da~~

Eunice and Hwee Le were fighting for the beancurds..
( 太爱吃豆腐了。。别吃人的豆腐哦!)

And more fightings...

until CW also gave up... HEHE....

My gang...

新年快乐!恭喜恭喜!

Happy Chinese "牛" Year~~

wooo hooo~~~
"~~!! "
CNY is around the corner...
i have the CNY mood since last sunday...
no mood to study too..
i couldn't focus ( totally blanked.. wandered to other things... haha...) on my lectures on thursday because i was thinking of coming back to Muar...
my body might be in the classroom but my spirit already floated back to Muar and was in CNY mood...
hahahaha...
although i would complain about not having many close relatives to celebrate with me, i still like the CNY atmosphere especially CNY eve...
everyone will be so happy and excited, waiting for the new year to step in, preparing to light up the fireworks and busy praying to "invite" the God of Fortune into their homes...
most of the times, i feel envy of those who have more family members to celebrate with...
the scene is simply so heartwarming, having all family members coming back to their hometown and being together to welcome a new year, simply so happy and touching...
anyway, i still love Chinese New Year when everyone can dress up in new clothings and have a get-together time...

my mom was telling me that the economy is bad, so have to cut down on the spending and also my "ang pao"...
BUT, she bought 30 BOTTLES OF CNY COOKIES!!!
when i got back home, my aunt was telling me that my mom bought 20 bottles...
however, when my mom came back home from work, another one more batch of cookies arrived...
i almost faint when i saw all the bottles at the cabinet...
here's the evidence...

i don't really like CNY cookies except for the pineapple tarts and the "kuih bangkit"...
anyway, i'm not going to help her to finish off all these cookies....
because i've warned her that i'm not going to eat it before she placed her order...
i think that she will need months to get rid of it..
hahahaha...
i don't care...
who ask her to be so greedy...
should let her learn the lesson..
hehehehe....

so, HAPPY CHINESE "" YEAR!!
may this OX year gives u more strength to strive in whatever u do and have a body as strong as the OX...
mooo~~~!!!

YTL Power Plant Visit!!!

last wednesday, i went YTL Power Plant in Pasir Gudang for industrial visit...
this visit was organised by the IEM in our uni...
as an electrical engineering student, this visit was a eye-opening and beneficial one...
we got to see all the machines and how the laws applied in the process of generating electricity that we learnt in our textbooks...
YTL is a Germany company which is an Independent Power Plant (IPP) in Malaysia...
beside TNB, YTL also provide us the electricity we always used in our daily lifes...

here's the itenary of the tour...

In the bus before setting off

so, we set off to Pasir Gudang at 1pm by bus...
before that, i only have 5 minutes to have my lunch because i have class till 12.50pm (a new record broken as u guys know that i'm a super slow eater.. haha..)...
ok.. back to topic...
then, when we reached the company, we were welcomed by the officers of the company...

a easy and brief introduction of the company history and also the process of power generating system was shown to us through slideshows..
next, the fun part began, the plant tour!!
so, i sneakily took some pictures of the plant...
here's some of the picture taken...

Malaysia Open...

i went to Malaysia Open weeks ago...
it was years ago since i went to Malaysia Open in 2005...
meeting those international players again was truly a memorable time...
and of course, watching the matches right in front of me was simply exciting and incomparable to watch in the TV...
the atmosphere was so different...
i could really feel the powerful supports given to players on courts...
when their favourite player won a shot, they would cheer and clap their hands loudly...
when a mistake made, they would go, " Ahhh~~"
it was really fun to look at their expressions and behaviour...
besides, having the privilege to sit at the players' deck, i also could observe the players' interactions..
the Korean team was very united as they would support their players who were on court...
then, i noticed that Wong Pei Tye and Zhou Mi are good friends because Wong will always find Zhou Mi to talk...
anyway, here's some pictures taken from the trip..
enjoy~~

Picnic...

ok... this is a waaaaayyyyy-long-ago event that we had last year...
the picnic session that we did it again for the second time...
it was also a Christmas celebration for us too as we exchanged presents among each others..
besides, the picnic was a potluck style where everyone brought one dish..
those who came were Cindy, Phylis, Ai Rin, Chiau Wei, May Joan, Hwee Le, Boo, Ee Theng and me..
so, here's mine...

Coke Cola Chicken ( A bit burnt.. hehe...)

i'm so embarassed to show my product...
for your information, i burnt it...
my coke cola chicken got a bit burnt because i'd forgotten about it when i went to change my clothes..
however, it still can be eaten..
very sorry ya..
i think i can't be a good chef...
hopefully, next time, i can prepare a more decent food for u all..
ok, enough for my embarassing moment...
so now, i proceed to other sumptuous foods made by others...

The food we prepared ( Drooling~~)

Jelly made by Ee Theng

Chocolate Cake made by CW

Tuna and Egg Sandwiches made by Cindy

Hotdog Veggi Stick made by MJ ( she did it all by herself.. awesome...)

Watermelon cut by Boo

Hwee Le brought the Otak-otak and Ai Rin brought the satay...
then, Phylis brought the bihun ( not in the picture due to her late arrival.. :p)...
so, we chatted while we were having the mouth-watering foods...
we gossiped about others' affairs and mostly was on boyfriend topic...
listening to their love story and how sweet were they together, really a good piece of news to be heard...
i'm really happy for those who found their love ones...
hope they can happily forever...

so, after that, we had the so-called present exchanging moment...
the presents was placed according to number by Cindy..
those who had her birthday earliest got the first present and the following...
here's the presents...
we didn't take a group picture this time because we were so engrossed in chit-chatting...
so, we only can save the happy moments in our minds and hearts...
anyway, it was a unforgetable event that we shared happiness together...
i hope that we can carry on with more get-together time in future despite of the busy schedule we have..
friendship is a relationship that ties each others' hearts together as long as we live..
even we dies, the happy moments spend together will always vividly being remembered by those who still alive...

Missed it!!!

last week, my "Islam dan Isu-isu Semasa" lecturer was forcing us to attend a talk on Palestine...
the talk was held on Friday night at 8pm...
i was in a dilemma on whether to go back to Muar or not since the attendance will be given marks...
on Thursday, i decided to go back to Muar..
and i'm back...
however, i received a shocking and sad news when i was shopping in Malacca...
i met Elicia ( Jeanette's fan ) in Mahkota...
she told me that Jeanette would be in JB for promoting The Little Nyonya tonight at 8pm...
i was so stunned when i knew it..
i didn't know it because they didn't mention in Jeanius Forum...
i didn't know it because i didn't listen to radio...
i didn't know it because i didn't read the chinese newspaper...
i didn't know anything until i met Elicia...
i'm so so so sad when i knew that i have a chance to met Jeanette again but i didn't go..
i missed the chance this time...
nothing can be done anymore...
over is over...
i can only wait for another time...
and i believe that there will be the chance in future...
just believe...

Lesson to be learnt...

from my last post, i mentioned about my misfortunes that i encountered recently...
and i did mention about the "Blessing in disguise" thingy..
so, partially, that "Blessing in disguise" thing really works...
read clearly... i said partially...
so, here's the story goes...
i got to know that we can enter the real good EMT lecturer's classes since we don't have any clashes of class except for 1 hour...
after attending the first lesson, i was totally amazed by his way of teaching...
his lecture was clear and can be easily understood...
the most important thing was that he was kind of a joker but still, he is really an amazing lecturer...
as u guys know, i've a "good" EMT lecturer that i mentioned previously...
going both sections will be a tiring task...
so, i decided to change into his section since he (the good one) don't mind accepting me...
however, the blessing-in-disguise thing only worked half way...
we were not allowed to change section anymore even though we were willing to be fined...
what a luck...
in conclusion, i still need to go for both sections in order to understand and take the exam...
anyway, i feel that i'm still lucky because that lecturer allows us to enter his lectures though we are not from his section..
so, i've learnt a lesson by this incident...
next time, do a thorough checking on the timetable and do the insert-and-delete thing asap...

every incident occurs in life has a meaning behind it..
it teaches us something or making us realise something so that we won't repeat the same mistakes again...
but the problem lies on ourselves...
do we realise it?? can we avoid doing the same mistakes in future??

Blessing in disguise....

recently, quite a number of bad things happened to me...
during our lab experiment on monday, all the equipments that we used were spoilt...
causing us ( my lab members ) to waste 2 hours and 15 minutes on rewiring and changing the equipments for umpteen times...
then, we were left with 45 minutes to carry out the experiment from nothing to a lab report...
we needed to take the values from the osciloscope, calculate the voltage and current, plot graphs and come out with a observation script....
however, we were lucky to have friends who willing to help us during the whole process...
Pui Yee, Zi Jie and Wei Hau were doing the same experiment with me..
so, they provided us the readings and answers for all the lab report...
and we managed to hand in the lab report on time...
even the supervisor also helped us a lot...
thank you, everyone...

ok...
last week, i found out that my brand new dishwasher liquid (the whole bottle) went missing after i came back from muar...
then this sunday, when i was back from kl, i found that my container and spounge for washing dish also missing...
and just now, i found that my small spoon missing too...
so many missing things..
although the things were not the valueble one but still, it really frustrating...
i've no idea who is the thief...
i'm suspecting the cleaner of our block is the culprit...
but i have no evidence on it, though...
anyway, i hope this incident won't carry on until the end of the semester...
and i will never put my things at the washroom anymore...

however, i believe that after this bad thing occurs, it will follow with the good ones...
that's why there is a saying goes, " Blessing in disguise..."
when u believe in it, then it will happen...
law of attraction!!!

Over the Moon.....

do u know why i'm so happy now???
first of all, it is about my blog...
i can upload my picture again!!!
yay!!!
i'm so happy when i know that..
it was all my coursemate's help...
now, i'm using mozilla to update my blog because i can upload my picture again!!!!
hahahahaha!!!
ok... the second thing that i'm happy for is that i'm fully recovered from my partially deaf situation...
so, Chua, i'm ready to hear your nagging again!!
thirdly, i'm going to Malaysia Open this week!!!
gonna meet all the international players again!!!
since i can upload my picture...
i want to share something with u all....

The Secret

the present that i gave my mom for Christmas...
my mom wanted it so much until a state that she kept on asking me to find out for her...
so, i secretly bought it for her when there was a 25% discount...
the actually price was RM79.90...
so, after discount, it considered as worth-buying...
actually, i wanted to give it to her on Christmas...
but with her pestering of buying that book, i finally gave in...
i told her that i wanted to give her a suprise but now, it was just a small suprise...
because i hardly gave Christmas gift to my mom...
anyway, i hope that this book can help her...

ok, next, present for Jeanette...
here's the present...
Snacks and Candies from Ipoh with a Handmade Bookmark

i asked my friend to pass it to her during the Little Nyonya roadshow..
and Jeanette even thanked me in the Jeanius Forum...
hahahaha...
i was so happy when she did that...
i know that i'm too engrossed in her lately ( PS : I'm not a lesbian, though )...

anyway, i think most of u who really know me well, should know that i'm not a expressive person nor a attentive person...
but somehow, i would personally do handmade bookmark for her...
it is kind of strange but somehow, now, i started to appreciatiate and more expressive in family ties, friendship and also "idolship"...
hahahaha...
i hope that it isn't too late to express it now...
so, don't be shocked if i become a attentive friend ya...
hahahahaha....

Studies + Competition + Activities = Tired + Time-limitation + Uncertainties = More Struggles to be made!!!

ok... as my new semester just begin 2 weeks, the pressure is compiling...
as for your information, i'll be taking Electromagnetism (EMT = KILLING SUBJECT!! )...
if i get a better lecturer, i think i still can cope it...
but after deceiving myself that i can pull through it by bearing with the boring and don't-understand-at-all lectures, i think i will be doomed in this subject...
don't mention that i have a "good" lab partner who watched me do the experiment and lab report mostly all by myself...
this whole things are making me feel more pressured and uncertained about what will happened to me when i got to know that i have 2 badminton competitions for this semester...
one in end of Feb( in Pahang ) and another in end of March( in UTM )...
i'm worried about the training sessions which are kind of horrible...
there is training session everyday except Sunday with one fitness session...
but we are allowed to skip the training if we have something on...

i really hope i can cope with my studies and sport...
i need to find a balance to it..
i need to struggle to work it out...
i need energy to all these things...
i need to have a positive mindset to overcome all these...

Michelle, stay strong!!!
believe yourself like what u always believe!!!
try your best and u can!!!
GAMBATE!!!

The Finale.....

from my title of the post, i think most of u know what i'm about to say...
haha....
obviously, none other than "The Little Nyonya" drama...
it has ended its run today...
however, i don't really like the ending...
it's simply because it was kind of rush and all the loving couple could not be together...
the love between Yueniang and Chen Xi was so powerful but they were not meant to be together..
but what i love in this drama are....
1. The lovestory between Juxiang and Yousoke....
2. The faithfulness by Chen Sheng towards Juxiang....
3. The lovestory between Yueniang and Chen Xi....
4. The characters brought out by Juxiang and Yueniang who don't give up easily...
5. The beautiful Peranakan culture(the food, the embroidery, the kebaya, etc)....
actually, there are many more...
just that there are too many of them...
maybe that's my top 5 list...
i was wondering... "how life will it be after the show finish??"
because it was my "staple" for the past 1 month...
but it is good to end it now..
if not, i'll need to resit for my papers in this semester...
hahaha....
i know that i sounds exaggerate...
anyway, i would say that this show really the best ever produced by Mediacorp...
so, cheersssss~~~~

Bye Bye, Cindy.... Bon Vonyage!!

Vi Vian is back for good...
she already graduated....
and she is just 21 years old...
gosh...
i still need to wait for 2 and a half years to go...
but time flies...
so, i'm not worry about it...
but Cindy is going back to London on tuesday...
so, we went out for yum cha today...
a yum cha session which consists of " welcoming and farewell" atmosphere...
those who attended the yum cha were Chan, VV, Ong, PP, CW, Boo, Hwee Le and me...
hahahaha...
we were like treating the cafe as our own house...
sitting with our legs on the chairs, laughing like nobody business and talking so loud like nobody can hear...
then, there was a group of guys in the cafe too...
they kept on looking at us...
but we just don't really bother about them...
that bunch of guy with a girl was celebrating someone's birthday...
they eventually treated us a piece of cake for each one of us...
kind of "pai seh" though...
anyway, i had a great time talking with them...
it is always nice to see so many familiar faces around me...
so comfortable to talk to...
so happy to hang around...
it will be better if more close friends can gather together...
after all of us went to separate ways, the time to spend with each others becoming less and less... and sometimes, it was kind of pathetic for not being able to meet and catch up with each others... anyway, hope our friendship will "sail" forever...

Cindy, good luck and take good care of yourself ya...
miss u tonnes...
muacksss...

may all your goals and dreams of the year will come true...
have u guys made any new year resolution???
well, i didn't actually really think about it though i did mention that i wanna think of it from my previous post..
anyway, a new year resolution is just a motivation for us to work for it and it doesn't mean that it has to be a very big one...
it can be as simple as "having fun all the time"..

all the things we will do in future will be memories for the future after that..
so, let's us create more sweet memories for this brand new year of 2009!!!
and here's my new year resolutions/ wishes....
