The Last Lecture...

what a suprised!!!
i managed to finish it in 1 week...
another new record broken...
haha...
as a fact, it was simply because this book really interesting and inspirational...

Randy Paush, the writer of the book who was a professor in Carnegie Mellon University, had his last lecture after he was diagnosed pancreatic cancer(last stage)...
he was told by the doctor that he has only 3-6 months to live...
his aim for spending his remaining time for the last lecture was to educate his children indirectly...
he wanted his children to know and to remember his father & to lead and to educate them the proper values of life...
quoted from the summary of the book:
"It was about the importance of overcoming obstacles, of enabling the dreams of others, of seizing every moment (because “time is all you have...and you may find one day that you have less than you think”). It was a summation of everything Randy had come to believe. It was about living."
it was not a normal and serious lecture that will make u sleep or roll your eyes...
but, it was all his life experiences which will inspire and educate u to lead a successful life...

i can say that he was a successful role model with mostly his childhood dreams were accomplished...
he was so motivated to do anything to realising his childhood dreams...
there are so many useful pointers for readers to implement in their lifes...
in 25th July 2008, he lost his battle to the cancer...
however, his legacy will continue to inspire many other people in this world...

actually, there is a website for u to browse through about his book and his life...
here's the website...
www.thelastlecture.com

i would highly recommend u all to read it...
and yes, i did tear while reading it...

may him rest in peace...
